The purpose of this study was to identify the experience rate of depressive symptoms and the levels of health promotion and risk behaviors, medical costs, and psychological health status and to investigate the associations between these factors and depressive symptoms among cancer survivors. The data came from the 2019 Korea Health Panel Survey(the second stage) and 546 cancer survivors were analyzed by using hierarchical multiple logistic regression analysis. Major findings are as follows. First, the experience rate of depressive symptoms among cancer survivors was 10.1%. Second, after adjusting socio-demographic factors, the final model of hierarchical multiple logistic regression showed that current non-drinkers, poor self-rated health, and greater levels of perceived stress in cancer survivors were statistically associated with depressive symptoms. Based on study findings, practical measures for mental health promotion among cancer survivors were discussed.
